INSTRUCTIONS
How many Beatles songs can you name?
How confident will you be in your prediction, and will someone challenge you?
Press the Popmaster selector and read the category out loud.
Starting with the youngest player, players then decide to bid on how many items in that category they can list. For example, if the category is 'Beatles songs', the first player might choose to bid '4'.
Play then passes to the next player to make their bid. Play continues in this way for as long as players keep making higher bids. If the last player also makes a higher bid, play passes to the player who went first and continues until there is a challenge. When, instead of bidding themselves, a player chooses to challenge the last player who bid, they say: 'If you think you are the Popmaster - name your list!' and start the timer. The player who has been challenged has to name as many items in the category as they have just bid before the timer ends. Players must decide between themselves if the answers are correct. If they succeed, they win and score a point. If they are unable to name the number of items they bid, they lose, and the challenger wins and scores the point.
Play continues until each player has had a turn at pressing the juke box selector, and at the end of the game the player who has the most points is the winner.
